Arunachal NCC Cadets Drive Social Impact Through Blood Donation Awareness and Camp

The 1 Arunachal Pradesh Battalion NCC successfully spearheaded a multi-day community service initiative featuring blood donation awareness marches and a voluntary donation drive in Itanagar. Senior division and senior wing NCC cadets from Dera Natung Government College (DNGC), Don Bosco College, and the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) actively participated in the three-day programme. The campaign kicked off with awareness rallies held at DNGC on August 11 and at NERIST on August 12, where cadets marched to educate the public on the vital role voluntary blood donation plays in saving lives and supporting medical patients. The initiative culminated on August 13 with a voluntary blood donation camp held at Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Itanagar. During the event, both NCC cadets and Permanent Instructor (PI) staff generously donated blood to boost local hospital supplies for patients in urgent need. The successful drive highlighted the National Cadet Corps’ ongoing commitment to civic responsibility, youth leadership, and meaningful community service.
