The Special Investigation Cell (Vigilance) of the Arunachal Pradesh police has made a significant breakthrough by apprehending a former deputy director of school education, Talem Jamoh, on charges related to illegal appointments of primary teachers and other staff members within the education department in Siang district.
Acting on complaints filed by Tajing Saroh and under sections 120(B)/420/409/468/471 of the Indian Penal Code R/W Sec. 13(2) PC Act, 1988, the case was officially registered at the SIC (Vigilance) on December 20, 2023. Superintendent of Police Anant Mittal of SIC (Vigilance) confirmed the arrest, stating that it followed meticulous scrutiny of documents, interrogation of suspects, and technical analysis.
Talem Jamoh, aged 61 and a resident of Napit village in East Siang district, held the position of Deputy Director of School Education in Saing district before retirement.
