Mansukh L. Mandaviya, Union Minister for employment & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports, promised focused assistance to empower young people in Arunachal Pradesh via strong sports programs and forward-thinking employment reforms. The two leaders had in-depth talks at Raj Bhavan on how to develop athletic talent, increase youth involvement, and deal with labour issues in the state during a high-level meeting with Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) K.T. Parnaik.
Governor Parnaik emphasised how the state’s natural endurance and discipline, particularly in boxing, martial arts, and athletics, had contributed to its rising stature as a centre of sporting excellence. In order to find untapped talent, he advocated for the construction of sports facilities in isolated communities and multidisciplinary stadiums in urban areas. The governor also commended the accomplishments of Tane Mena, Anshu Jamsenpa, Muri Linngi, Tashi Yangjom, and Kabak Yano, the state’s female mountaineers who have successfully climbed Mount Everest.
He referred to them as national heroes who should receive ongoing assistance in order to motivate next generations. Regarding labour, Parnaik emphasised the necessity of fostering skill development, creating jobs, and implementing inclusive policies in order to move the state’s traditional workforce towards formal employment. The discussion, which was attended by Labour & Employment Minister Nyato Dukam, was a major step in coordinating the goals of national development with the aspirations of Arunachal Pradesh’s young.
