The online portal of the ‘TRACTION 2026 Residency and Film Challenge’, an initiative aimed at promoting tourism, culture and MSMEs through digital storytelling was launched by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu in Itanagar on Monday.
The programme, supported by the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme, is being implemented in collaboration with the state Industries Department, the Centre for Cultural Research and Documentation (CCRD), and Rajiv Gandhi University.
Launching the portal, Khandu said Arunachal Pradesh is one of the most breathtaking, culturally rich and untapped destinations in the world. From majestic mountains and vibrant traditions to unique indigenous products and inspiring entrepreneurs, our state has countless stories waiting to be told.
“That is why we are launching TRACTION 2026, a first-of-its-kind Residency and Film Challenge that will bring together talented content creators from across the Northeast to capture and showcase the true spirit of Arunachal Pradesh through powerful visual storytelling,” the Chief Minister later stated on social media.
“Through TRACTION 2026, we will take Arunachal’s tourism potential, cultural heritage, MSMEs, GI-tagged products and success stories to audiences across India and the world,” he said.
