The 14th Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Assam Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation Limited (AUIDFCL) was held on Saturday at Dispur Capital Complex.
The meeting, chaired by Minister Kaushik Rai, reviewed the ongoing activities and various projects being implemented by AUIDFCL across the state. Detailed discussions were held on the progress of key urban infrastructure initiatives and measures to further strengthen urban development in Assam.
The board deliberated on a range of strategic matters relating to urban infrastructure, project implementation, financial management and institutional strengthening. Emphasis was laid on ensuring the timely execution of projects, efficient utilization of resources and the adoption of innovative approaches to meet the growing infrastructure needs of urban areas.
Speaking during the meeting, Minister Rai stressed the importance of coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to accelerate the pace of urban development and enhance the quality of civic infrastructure and services. He also underscored the need for maintaining high standards of transparency, accountability and efficiency in project implementation.
Kavitha Padmanabhan, Commissioner and Secretary, Department of Housing and Urban Affairs; Mauchumi Baruah, Secretary, Finance Department; Hivare Nisarg Gautam, Managing Director, AUIDFCL; Tankeswar Das, Director, Municipal Administration, Assam; Samprity Goswami, Additional Managing Director, AUIDFCL; and other officials of AUIDFCL were present in the meeting.
Reaffirming the Government’s commitment to sustainable urban development, the Minister called upon AUIDFCL and all concerned to continue working with dedication towards building resilient, inclusive and future-ready urban infrastructure across Assam.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from the Chair.
