A group of students and teachers from Govt Higher Secondary School, Mechukha, Arunachal Pradesh had the honour of meeting and interacting with the Hon’ble President of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan as part of their National Integration Tour (Delhi–Pune–Mumbai–Itanagar | 05–16 January 2026). The interaction marked a memorable and inspiring highlight of the educational tour aimed at broadening the horizons of youth from remote border regions.
The students are undertaking the National Integration Tour with the objective of experiencing India’s premier national institutions, historic landmarks, diverse cultures and the ethos of the Indian nation. During the visit to Rashtrapati Bhavan, the young participants were given an opportunity to engage with the Hon’ble President, who encouraged them to pursue excellence, remain rooted in values and contribute positively towards nation building.
The interaction had a profound impact on the students, many of whom expressed renewed confidence and motivation to overcome limitations and strive for goals beyond what they had earlier imagined. For these young minds from the far eastern frontiers of the country, the experience served as a powerful affirmation of their potential and their integral place in India’s national journey.
The National Integration Tour continues to expose the students to the functioning of key national institutions, promote awareness about India’s rich heritage and diversity and foster a sense of unity, pride and responsibility. Such initiatives play a vital role in empowering youth from remote areas, nurturing informed citizens and strengthening emotional integration with the national mainstream.
Through this meaningful engagement at the highest constitutional office, the tour has reinforced the values of unity in diversity, equal opportunity and collective progress, inspiring the students of Mechuka to return as confident ambassadors of positive change in their communities.
