Education Push in Arunachal: Pema Khandu Inaugurates Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Centr

Pema Khandu, the chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh, opened a Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Center in Doimukh on Thursday. The FLN Center is the first in the nation to guarantee that every kid acquires fundamental literacy and numeracy abilities by the end of Grade 3, in line with the local Arunachal culture and needs, in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and NIPUN Bharat Mission. The Center stresses teacher capacity building with active community participation, promotes mother language instruction in the early grades, uses play-based, child-centric pedagogy, and guarantees ongoing assessment.

“With assistance from NHPC, HDFC, Untied Fund, LADF from the Pare Hydro Project, and CSR contribution, this center is the outcome of a true team effort.” I sincerely appreciate the dedication of Doimukh MLA Nabam Vivek and all those involved,” Khandu added. The District Administration, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Visakha Yadav, was also praised by the Chief Minister for her initiative in bringing the vision to life.
