Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein recently called on Governor Lt Gen (Retd) KT Parnaik at Lok Bhavan to engage in high-level discussions regarding critical state development priorities, focusing heavily on infrastructure expansion, enhanced connectivity, youth empowerment, and sustainable employment generation. The comprehensive meeting also reviewed the effective grassroots implementation of various welfare schemes, the physical progress of ongoing centrally funded projects, and the strategic roadmap outlined in the state’s ambitious infrastructure investment program for the 2026–2029 period. Stressing the fundamental importance of human capital development as a cornerstone for regional progress, the Governor strongly advocated for accelerated investments in skill development, local entrepreneurship, tourism, horticulture, and allied agricultural sectors to create robust and long-lasting livelihood opportunities for the state’s dynamic youth population. Furthermore, Governor Parnaik highlighted the transformative role that structured sports activities, personal discipline, and active community participation play in shaping confident, capable, and socially responsible young citizens who can contribute meaningfully to society. During the course of their deliberations, Deputy Chief Minister Mein apprised the Governor of the upcoming arrival of the sacred holy relics of Shakyamuni Buddha in Namsai on November 14, formally inviting him to grace the auspicious exposition and its associated spiritual rituals with his esteemed presence. This high-level interaction underscores the collaborative administrative efforts between the state government and the gubernatorial office to align developmental goals with socio-economic welfare, cultural preservation, and youth-centric empowerment initiatives across Arunachal Pradesh.
