The Upper Subansiri district administration conducted a blackout mock drill in Daporijo town on Tuesday night to create public awareness about emergency preparedness and assess the administration’s response capabilities in the event of any unforeseen situation.
The mock drill was led by Tasso Gambo, Deputy Commissioner, Upper Subansiri, and Pawan Kumar Yadav, Superintendent of Police, Upper Subansiri, along with officials from the district administration, police department and other concerned stakeholders.
The exercise simulated a blackout situation to familiarise the public with the necessary precautions and response measures that may be required during an emergency. It also aimed to assess coordination and preparedness among various departments and emergency response teams.
