The Elara Project, founded by missing persons investigator Michael Evans, is expanding into Arunachal Pradesh and is seeking women to join its next phase as paid contributors in writing, video production, editing, storytelling and other creative fields. According to the project, the selected contributors will be compensated for their work, while revenue generated through the initiative will also support investigations into missing girls, trafficking victims, runaway girls and cold cases involving murdered women.
Evans, who has spent more than two decades investigating missing persons and cases involving trafficked and murdered women, developed the Elara Project from his investigative experiences. The initiative includes storytelling projects aimed at supporting women who have experienced manipulation and exploitation, while also promoting confidence, independence and awareness among younger girls. The project has previously involved female contributors from Meghalaya, Kohima, Dimapur and Mokokchung, and is now looking to bring voices and perspectives from Arunachal Pradesh.
Applicants do not need large social media followings or professional careers in publishing, according to the project. Evans said the focus is on talent, authenticity and local perspectives. Interested women from Arunachal Pradesh can follow Michael Evans on Instagram and contact him through direct message to be considered for the opportunity.
