Next-Gen Flagships: Leaks Unveil Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro Series Price, 2nm Chip, and Major Camera Overhaul

Massive new supply chain leaks have revealed extensive details about Apple’s upcoming premium flagships, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, ahead of their expected September launch. Deviating from its traditional rollout, Apple is reportedly deploying a staggered release strategy, debuting its top-tier Pro models and a rumored first foldable device in the fall, while pushing the standard iPhone 18 models to early next year. Under the hood, the iPhone 18 Pro series will be powered by the groundbreaking A20 Pro chipset—Apple’s first-ever processor built on TSMC’s ultra-efficient 2nm process—paired with a substantial upgrade to 12GB of RAM to effortlessly process next-generation on-device AI features.

The leaked specifications point toward a revolutionary camera system, highlighted by a triple 48MP rear setup featuring a mechanical variable aperture on the main lens for precise, DSLR-like control over depth and lighting. The telephoto lens is also slated for a wider aperture to significantly enhance low-light zoom performance. To support these resource-heavy processing demands and advanced optics, the devices will break historical resistance to larger physical builds; the iPhone 18 Pro Max will feature a massive battery capacity of around 5,200 mAh, wrapped in a cleaner front design with a noticeably shrunken Dynamic Island cutout. Despite soaring global manufacturing and component costs, early industry projections indicate that Apple intends to implement an aggressive pricing strategy to keep headline costs steady. In India, the iPhone 18 Pro is expected to debut at a starting price of approximately ₹1,34,900, while the top-of-the-line iPhone 18 Pro Max is estimated to start around ₹1,49,900, positioning them as highly competitive elite flagships.
