Groww captures 40% of Arunachal investor base as digital investing expands

Digital investment participation is gaining momentum in Arunachal Pradesh, with Groww accounting for 40% of the National Stock Exchange’s (NSE) active investor base in the state as of June 2026, according to data released by the investment platform. The figure means two in every five active investors in Arunachal Pradesh use Groww for their investment journey.

The trend comes as digital connectivity, smartphone adoption and financial awareness expand across the Northeast. Groww users account for nearly 24% of the NSE’s 36.31 lakh investor base across the eight Northeastern states. Sikkim recorded the highest share at 41%, followed by Arunachal Pradesh at 40% and Tripura at 37%.

Young investors form a significant portion of Groww’s Arunachal base. Around 30% are below 25 years of age, while nearly 31% are aged between 25 and 30. Women account for around 28% of investors, indicating increasing participation by women in the state’s investment market.

In Itanagar, the growing use of digital investment platforms reflects wider access to capital-market products among the state’s young, digitally connected population. The trend could support broader participation in stocks, mutual funds and other financial instruments without dependence on traditional investment channels.

Groww offers mutual funds, stocks, IPOs, trading, commodities, MTF, bonds and wealth management solutions, along with advanced tools such as option chains, charts and terminal-based trading.
