NPCI BHIM Services Limited (NBSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), has announced the introduction of MyUPI, a conversational AI-powered assistant on the BHIM Payments App to simplify UPI support, mandate management and payment safety.
MyUPI, launched by NPCI at Global Fintech Fest 2026, provides 24/7 multilingual assistance in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Bengali, with additional regional languages planned. The service is available under Quick Actions within the BHIM app and enables users to access multiple UPI-related services through a single conversational interface.
Users can view transaction histories across linked bank accounts and UPI apps, raise and track eligible complaints, manage Autopay mandates and access fraud-awareness assistance. MyUPI also enables users to verify payee names by entering a UPI ID or uploading a QR code through its Pay Safe feature.
The assistant provides a consolidated view of recurring payments and mandate details, allowing users to pause, resume or cancel applicable mandates. It can also identify mandate-based debits, re-initiate eligible P2P and P2M transactions with fresh UPI PIN authentication, and facilitate UPI Number de-linking.
Its Safety Switch allows users to block linked bank accounts in situations including suspected account compromise, lost phones or suspicious activity.
Lalitha Nataraj, MD and CEO of NBSL, said MyUPI strengthens BHIM with a conversational, multilingual trust layer aimed at improving accessibility, clarity and confidence in digital payments.
